SITE MANAGER VACANCY

Historic Property Restoration, a leading specialist in the restoration of historic buildings and structures, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a demonstrated track record in site management within the construction industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced site manager to join our team based in throughout the Yorkshire Region, with the offices based in Ripon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multiskilled team and specialist subcontractors for the successful delivery of our restoration projects, with individual values ranging from £100K to over £1M. Recent projects have taken us to Wentworth Castle, Rivington Gardens, Hardwick Old Hall, Richmond Castle and various other English Heritage and National Trust sites.

Key Responsibilities

· Site lead on historic building projects ensuring work is completed on time and to the specified standard

· Management of multiple specialist team including subcontractors

· Monitor progress against the project plan and monitor expenditure, resolving issues at site level

· Ensure project documentation including risk assessments are created and implemented along with other administrative processes

· Review plant, labour, and materials to ensure resources are in place in a timely manner throughout the duration of the project

· Comply with Health and Safety standards and company policies and procedures

· Attend client meetings and update the team on project progress

· Liaise with Contracts Manager to resolve any technical issues

· Complete Toolbox Talks and report all accidents on site

 

Experience and Qualifications

· NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or similar level qualification desirable.

· Proven experience in site management delivering contracts of a high value with multiple specialist teams

· Extensive Health and Safety knowledge and relevant training certificates

· CSCS Black Card and SMSTS Certificate or prepared to work to achieve these standards

· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Strong leader with excellent communication skills
