As we learn to live safely with COVID-19, there are actions we will take to help reduce the risk of catching COVID-19 and passing it on. These actions also help to reduce the spread of other respiratory infections, such as flu, which can spread and may cause serious illness in certain people.

Actions HPR will take to reduce the spread of respiratory infections, including COVID-19;

Encourage and enable vaccination, vaccinations are very effective at preventing serious illness from COVID-19, flu and other diseases. At HPR we support and enable staff who wish to be vaccinated to get their vaccines when offered them.

Bringing in fresh air to occupied spaces to help reduce the concentration of respiratory particles, lowering the risk of airborne transmission of respiratory viruses.

Maintain a clean workplace, to reduce the risk of infection and therefore reduce the potential for sickness in our workforce. Ensuring our staff are aware it’s very important to clean surfaces that people touch a lot.

Our staff are supported to maintain a clean working environment by providing them with cleaning products, soap and hot water, and/or sanitiser.

Alongside our regular toolbox talks, we constantly review, update, and communicate our working practices to all our employees and our supply chain to ensure the continued safety of all our operatives and subcontractors on our sites.

At HPR if were to experience high levels of people with respiratory symptoms the actions detailed above, will help to reduce the spread, therefore they are promoted and carried out.
