Larger stones can be put through the primary saw before being transferred to the banker masons for finishing. Depending on the size of the contract, we will either carry out the final profiling at our workshops in Prudhoe, or if conditions allow, this work can be carried out on site.
Historic Property Restoration Ltd has a large workshop facility at Prudhoe in Northumberland, and we employ nearly 20 banker masons. From this facility we are able to service projects throughout the whole of the North of England.
We also have access to a primary saw mounted on a travelling beam, which allows us to cut very large blocks. Several of our banker masons are successful graduates from our apprentice stonemasonry programme run in conjunction with York College and Construction Skills (formerly the Construction Industry Training Board).
