Current Vacancies
With the acute skills shortage in the heritage sector we are always looking to recruit experienced stonemasons, joiners and conservators to work alongside our existing masons, and to learn the additional skills required for working on historic buildings. We have several positions available throughout the whole of the North of England.
Stonemasons must have achieved NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or have proof of a time-served apprenticeship.
Apprenticeships (Stonemasonry)
In conjunction with ConstructionSkills, The NHTG, York Technical College and Stone Federation of Great Britain we are working to ensure the preservation of a competent, skilled workforce. Apprentices are encouraged to achieve NVQ level 3 in stonemasonry as well as receiving internal training and accreditation in specialist conservation techniques such as plaster consolidation and detailed stone dentistry techniques.
Apply in May/June for intake in July/August.
